Vino Con Brio Estate Passione Rose, Lodi, 2008
|
It's not red, it's not white, but it is SOOOO good...
This is the fourth vintage or our off-dry rose made with Sangiovese grapes from the Amorosa Vineyard. The Passione Rose was "born" in 2005 when Vino Con Brio found itself with some extra Sangiovese grapes. Just as an experiment, they made the 2005 Passione Rose. It was so well received that Passione is now part of the annual line up of Vino Con Brio wines.
We're hoping to continue our three year streak going of "Best in Class" at the California State Fair!

Enjoy with spicier food for a real treat. |

| Winemakers Notes: | After hand-harvesting and hand-sorting, the fruit was whole cluster pressed and 100% cold fermented in stainless steel. The juice was further enhanced in fruit by utilizing specialty yeast, known as 71B, and avoiding the secondary malolactic fermentation. The wine was stored cold in stainless steel until bottling. |
