Vino Con Brio Estate Brillante White Wine, Lodi, 2008

Vino Con Brio Estate Brillante White Wine, Lodi, 2008

The art of blending is the single most creative and rewarding expression the winemaker has to offer. Few of the world's most recognized wines are 100% varietals. Blending has always presented the opportunity to maximize a vineyard’s unique qualities, allowing the winemaker to express the best of each variety yet build a complimentary intertwining of the wines.

Each vintage highlights different aspects of every variety and likewise, with each vintage we have the opportunity to create an aromatic, vibrant and flavorful white wine. Every year will be a unique blend that brings the best of our Amorosa Vineyard to your glass.

Tasting Notes:Bright citrus and pear aromas from the Viognier are complemented by the honeysuckle and tropical fruit brought to the blend by the Roussanne. Pinot Grigio adds a flinty note to the background and adds structure and firmness to the body. Sauvignon Blanc adds to the clean fruity flavors and further enhances the weight and balance of the wine. This is perhaps our best Brillante to date. Great for summer enjoyment this wine will accompany all lighter cuisines yet stand up to barbeque for the white wine lovers.
Varietal:70% Viognier, 15% Roussanne, 10% Pinot Grigio, 5% Sauvignon Blanc
Winemakers Notes:The fruit was whole cluster pressed and 100% cold fermented in stainless steel. Utilizing specialty yeast to highlight the fruit and by avoiding malo-lactic fermentation we further enhanced the aromatic profile of the wine.
